“BEST RADIO WEBSITE IN AMERICA” REACHES OUT TO ADVERTISERS, NOT LISTENERS

November 03, 2008 – A radio website that reaches out to advertisers (instead of listeners) beat out over 100 nominees to win the “Best Radio Website in America” contest, conducted by the Radio Advertising Bureau’s Radio Sales Today. The winner, chosen by RST readers, is TopekaRadioAdvertising.com and it’s creator, Gregg Murray of Sales Imaging.

Five Finalists were chosen in October, and Sales Imaging’s winning site was selected November 7, 2008. The criteria for the “Best Radio Website in America” were content, design, and ease of use.

Nominating Judge, Mel Taylor said, “Most radio websites do not focus on how to drive revenue. When I saw that Sales Imaging had produced a website that took the strength of local radio and drove advertisers, it really jumped out at me. Gregg Murray realizes that not every radio website has to focus on Brittney Spears or the morning show. But, can be focused on radio’s other customer, the advertiser.”

Sales Imaging is led by a former radio manager turned internet marketing strategist, Gregg Murray. Gregg has created (and manages) radio sales-focused websites in 50 U.S. markets.

Gregg Murray says, “The Radio industry is discovering that a modern radio sales department requires a professional online presence that is designed to educate and influence advertisers. It’s an essential component of any radio sales organization hoping to compete in today’s economy. The internet is where business now goes to learn about radio and advertising. We put our clients in front of these browsing prospects.”

Radio Managers: Save Money, Create Advertisers, and Get Your Own Radio Sales Website

Sales Imaging’s Radio Advertising Center websites for radio sales departments are completely turnkey. There is no construction or content-management for the radio station. The Sales Imaging support team does it all. Their radio sales websites are designed for radio stations or radio groups on a market-exclusive basis. The primary goal is to draw potential radio advertisers to the site, where it gives the radio stations instant credibility with today’s hard-to-impress decision makers. The websites are completely branded with the client’s station logo(s) or corporate identity. It includes PDF and fast-opening flash versions of radio station media kits, as well as audio introductions from the radio station manager and each radio station’s program director. In addition, an email marketing component is included, where Sales Imaging sends out monthly “Business Builder etips” on behalf of the radio station to its advertisers. Promotional tools are also included that drive new businesses to the site, including pre-produced radio promos (for on-air), web banners (for radio station programming sites), and Google, Yahoo!, and MSN search engine optimization.

Sales Imaging’s Radio Advertising Center websites have produced over 12,000 new business advertising leads and $12,984,000.00 in revenue for radio stations since Sales Imaging’s first radio sales website went online in February 2003.
